Yeah, this is another out-of-office blogpost. Because in this third calendar year of the pandemic you start making up for missed family visits and other such trips. So some responsibilities fall by the wayside and there won’t be a proper essay today. But there’ll be one next week, and it’ll probably be on Prey.
Because if you have any reason to think you may like a Predator movie or even be amenable to the very idea of a solid thriller film, do yourself a favor and check out Prey. It is absolutely excellent for a host of reasons, not the least because of just who the movie choses to make its focus, but also for the dizzying amount of technical brilliance that goes into every shot. It’s so good.
