Break

I’ve had a busy week at work, having pulled enough hours at the day job that I’ve found myself dreaming in Adobe Premiere multiple nights in a row. Which is a weird way to dream, since a non-linear editing software does not make for riveting visuals.

Perhaps even more surreal is that my respites from working, those glances at Reddit and Twitter (which will never be X to me), are only to end up reading an endless feed of horror and war coupled with a stunning lack of empathy. A discussion of this latest war is beyond the ken of this blog — and the last thing anyone needs is another pundit debating what’s ‘right’ when it comes to taking lives. There is no justice when people are killed at a music festival, no justice when children are killed when their homes are bombed. It’s a tragedy, a tragedy that continues.

There’s no tidy bow for this post. I’m tired after a long week of work, a long week of reading horrible news. I want to rest, I want to believe in a world without war, a world of hope. Hold your loved ones close, life is precious.
