This week got away from me for a handful of reasons and it’s Saturday night and my blog post is unwritten. So here’s one of those Things I’ve Been Enjoying Lately — and why.
Movie: Hundreds of Beavers
I finally got around to watching it and it’s a fantastic comedic romp. The less you know about this absurdist movie going into it the better, just know that it’s a delightful blend of Buster Keaton, Looney Tunes, and video games that somehow works remarkably well.
Video Games: Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds
Look, I know, but I’m getting good at beating Moderates fairly consistently with the Expanded Fronts mod and I’m having fun.
Music: SABLE, by Bon Iver
Bon Iver has a new EP out and so of course I’ve got it and listened to it. Digital only, since it’s not on vinyl.
TV: The Great British Bake Off
It’s back!
Book: The Lord of The Rings, by J. R.R. Tolkien
It’s been a couple years since I’ve read it and, diving in again I’m reminded about how lovely a book it is. It’s probably the book I’ve read the most times, and every time I do there’s always something new or forgotten that delights me.
