The aforementioned busy weeks are upon me. Here are thoughts on Three Quick Things:
Movie: Mickey 17
A delightfully weird movie — which is basically what you’d expect from a movie directed by Bong Joon Ho. The comedic science-fiction movie dabbles in farce and satire with a healthy dose of existentialism, somehow bouncing around themes (and genres!) without ever losing sight of its own idiosyncratic personality.
Video game: Star Wars: Outlaws
I started playing the game before these busy weeks stated and, man, it’s exactly what I want. I get to be a Star Wars scoundrel zipping around in my cool ship, running afoul of the Empire and two-timing crime syndicates. I’m not entirely sure if it’s actually a good game, but it is everything I want and I can’t complain.
