Not much of an essay or a rant this week for various reasons, but rather a quick observation that, wow, Google search has gotten real bad.
Like, I can vaguely see how the connection can be made. Forsaken did see the guardian go rogue (renegade, if you will) and had a bit of a Western frontier vibe to it and the Renegades expansion is slated to be explicitly Star Wars inspired, y’know, that space adventure with a Western frontier vibe to it. If you squint, you could see how someone searching for Renegades might have, in fact, been thinking of Renegades.
But the astute among you will notice that I searched for Destiny 2: Renegades. Explicitly. By name. An expansion that’s coming out in a few months. And yet, for some reason, Google’s new optimization decided to suggest a seven-year-old expansion.
Woo.
