As might be implied by my intermittent posts as of late, I’ve been having a busy few weeks where the time to get something written by the weekend. This busy-ness also means missing stuff. I haven’t managed to see Forgotten Island yet, nor the documentaries Musk and You Can See Everything, let alone the Street Fighter movie. And next weekend sees the release of the stop-motion film Wildwood which has a magnificent trailer with an incredible trailerizatoin of Avicii’s “Wake Me Up.”
To say nothing of the new Star Wars game that I’ve not been able to check out yet.
The speed of modern life, huh?
I’ve complained before about the pressure to be a part of the pop-cultural zeitgeist, something made especially difficult lately with the tragically short amount of time movies are in theaters now. It’s an embarrassment of riches, honestly. A new, racing-sim Star Wars game coming out so soon after a Star Wars XCOM? A new stop-motion movie? Two documentaries about tech ghouls? What a time. Now to find the time to enjoy it all.
